Working alongside experienced engineers and specialists, apprentices at AML gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge machining technologies, quality processes, and the day-to-day demands of supplying some of the world’s most prestigious aerospace, defence, energy and nuclear clients. From day one, apprentices are treated as valued members of the team — contributing to live projects while developing the technical skills and professional knowledge needed for a long-term career in engineering.

Starting his career at AML as a Graduate and Production Planner, Alex has progressed into the role of Technical Commercial Manager. Through a combination of technical expertise and innovation-focused leadership, he now plays a key role in driving new manufacturing technologies and process development across the business.

Alex joined AML as a Machining Apprentice and has since progressed to Engineering Lead.
