    Health and Safety Coordinator (PART-TIME, Permanent) Sheffield, South yorkshire

     AML is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector.

    Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand our machining capabilities over the coming year.

     

    Role Summary:

    This is a great opportunity to work at the leading edge of advanced machining and gain exposure to the leading players in the aerospace sector. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating, supporting and advising the business on all aspects of Health and Safety.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health and Safety legislation and ensure systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance

    – Ensure all personnel receive and are up to date with required statutory training so as to ensure full compliance maintain all relevant records

    – Review and develop all aspects of the Health and Safety Policy and activity, and ensure that it is implemented

    – Ensure all equipment on site adheres to H&S Acts and regulations (HASAWA, LOLER, PUWER, LEV)

    – Maintain the accident, incident and ‘good spot’ database and report to the facility. Lead accident/incident investigations

    – Ensure that appropriate records are maintained in compliance with legal requirements, e.g. COSHH, and that necessary notices are displayed and reviewed

    CNC Machine Operators (full-time, Permanent) Sheffield, South yorkshire

    Role Summary:

    This is a great opportunity to work at the leading edge of advanced machining and gain exposure to the leading players in the aerospace sector. In this role you will be responsible for setting and running multi axis machines.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Manufacture components utilising instructions within a production pack

    – Support New Product Introduction (NPI), giving feedback to the engineering team on all aspects

    – Confirm conformance of finished work to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gauges

    – Progress manufacture in line with the production schedule

    – Ensure all production documentation adheres to the relevant quality standard

    Shift Pattern:

    £11.63 to £13.19 p/h dependant on experience

    – 2 shift system with 20% premium on days. 28.7% premium on nights

    Days – 5.45am – 6.15pm
    Nights – 5.45pm – 6.15am

    – 3 Week Rotation

    Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Days

    Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Nights

    Week 3: Monday, Tuesday Days,  Thursday, Friday Nights

    – Average earnings paid for any holiday time taken

    – Overtime paid at x1.3 through the week, x1.5 on a Saturday and x2 on a Sunday

    – Enforce the quality disciplines and awareness of customer requirements throughout the business

    – Responsible for assembling, packing and/or unpacking of goods

    – Ensure deliveries are processed to the customer requirements

    – Administer all paperwork as per defined procedures

    – Progress parts in line with the production schedule

    – Procure packaging when not supplied by customer

    Responsibilities:

    – Cleaning the business to a high standard duties will include but not limited to, emptying bins, cleaning all areas including kitchens, toilets and offices

    – Highlighting when cleaning products are running low to office staff and maintaining a good level of stock

    Shift Pattern:

    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Part-time hours: 20 per week

    – 20 hours per week 4 hours per day (weekdays only), hours are negotiable but will include either an early start or evening finish to allow hoovering of offices with minimal disruption. Flexibility can be offered
