Our DNA

Technology At The Heart Of Production

Technology and our customers’ products are constantly evolving and changing and AML firmly believes production should follow suit. We don’t just view ourselves as a machining company, we are a technology company delivering high-quality parts to our customers. To stay true to this principle, AML constantly invests in the most up-to-date machining and metrology equipment, invests in and utilises the latest generation of tooling, and always remains committed to integrating the latest software and digital technology. With strong research credentials, AML always commits to embracing the latest technology to not only provide value but also to meet the next generation of production challenges.

Our Growth & Future Vision

Integrated Programme Delivery is a “business capability” that is critical to all areas, and an essential skill of our employees. It is the foundation of all volume manufacturing, where the successful programme management of NPI is a prerequisite to any production part. Each programme is assigned an engineer from day 1, and relevant team members who possess the full complement of skills to execute the scope of work. The team will work hand in hand with the customer for technical consultation and to provide regular progress updates. Parts entering the production phase will have locked down programs that allow consistent parts to be manufactured and allow us to achieve world-class yield levels.

Company Values

Respect

We treat everyone with honesty, dignity and consideration, valuing every individual and their contribution.

Spirit

We approach every challenge with passion, positivity and the determination to succeed.

Oruma

We succeed together by supporting one another and sharing responsibility for every outcome.

Welcome To AML

People are our biggest assets. The foundations of AML are built around our employees, developing skills and technology side by side.

Our Management Team

People Are Our Biggest Assets

Whilst our philosophy is to purchase up-to-date and leading precision machining centres, they can only be exploited if our people can utilise them to the full extent. The interpretation of complex drawings and models in order that they can be manufactured to the most demanding standards requires a team of highly skilled engineers with a “Can Do Will Do” mindset. This is what AML has set out to do from its early origins.

Full training and development, whether given to operators or engineers alike, will continue throughout their employment. Whilst much of this will take place in-house, external training will take place as and when required, as new equipment is delivered or new skills are required.

Our History & Business Strategy

AML was founded by Dr Gareth Morgan in 2008 and was the first ever spin-out of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). Dr Morgan was a member of the team that founded the AMRC and saw the opportunity to apply advanced manufacturing and precision machining technology on a production basis. Dr Morgan was so confident that advanced manufacturing could lead to huge cost savings for Blue Chip Customers, he stepped out of research and formed a new company, AML.

Our Growth & Future Vision

AML is managing rapid growth in the aerospace, defence and energy sectors. Key resources are in place for further investment and expansion in our advanced manufacturing capabilities as required.

We continue to maintain our development capability and, through our links with the AMRC, are able to apply new technology and reduce costs for our customers.
