Prime Minister, Keir Starmer says the UK military is moving to “war-fighting readiness” as he calls on every part of society to play a role in defence.
Speaking on June 2nd in Glasgow, he unveiled the government’s defence spending plans and said the government will “innovate and accelerate innovation at a war-time pace” in order to deter conflict. The UK has already committed to increasing defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027, £10 to £15bn a year which will result in thousands of new jobs.
